Vincent Vasquez - President / Co-Founder

As President of Rootline Studios, Vincent leads with a deep knowledge of building codes, design principles, and client collaboration. He co-founded the studio alongside Edgardo Lecona to bring thoughtful, community-driven architectural solutions to families across Los Angeles, Orange, and San Bernardino Counties.

With a forward-thinking mindset, Vincent integrates AI tools and modern project management systems to help clients visualize their ideas, navigate permitting, and achieve innovative results with clarity and care. He’s driven by a mission to help families shape their spaces through creative, functional, and accessible design.

Vincent C. Vasquez brings over 20 years of hands-on experience in residential architecture and design. His passion for drafting began early, taking root in middle school and deepening as he watched his family home transform through remodeling — an experience that sparked a lifelong curiosity about how homes are brought to life from blueprints.

Since 2003, Vincent has worked across a wide spectrum of the built environment — from interior design and landscape architecture to pool construction and even tensile structure design. Along the way, he founded Car-vin Design & Drafting in 2018, where he refined his skills in residential design and code compliance.

Edgardo Lecona

Edgardo Lecona - Vice President / Co-Founder

In 2017, he launched Lecona Designs — a drafting company focused on furniture CAD and custom fabrication — building the business from the ground up with no funding or formal business training, just determination and long nights. Along the way, he developed strong skills in leadership, client communication, and project management, leaning on modern tools like AI and digital workflow systems to streamline his process.

Edgardo first met Vincent Vasquez in 2012, and the two reconnected in 2017 as they began supporting each other’s design work. That mutual respect and shared vision for high-quality design turned into a consistent collaboration built on trust, complementary skills, and a common goal: to bring clarity, function, and beauty to every project they touched.

Edgardo Lecona’s interest in architecture began in middle school, inspired by watching his brother build a 3D model from scratch. That early moment sparked a lifelong dedication to design, leading him to start drafting in 2007 at California High School in Whittier, CA and later pursue a degree in architectural drafting.

Since 2013, Edgardo has worked professionally across several design sectors — including structural engineering, architectural drafting, and luxury furniture manufacturing — where he gained hands-on experience with a wide range of materials, from wood species to metals and foams. This broad background taught him the balance between creativity and practicality: great design not only looks good, but works in the real world.
